Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the questions asked the most about coaching, both in-person and online. Everything is explained simply  so you know exactly what to expect.

IN-PERSON COACHING

Where do in-person sessions take place?

Sessions take place at JWPT, using a fully equipped, private training space with everything needed for strength, conditioning and movement work. No crowds, no waiting for kit, just focused coaching.

Comfortable training clothing, suitable footwear and water.

Your first session includes movement assessment covering mobility, stability, posture and basic strength patterns. This helps me tailor your programme to your abilities and limitations and goals.

Sessions are adapted immediately with safe regressions, alternative movements and load adjustments.

Check-ins are completed through the coaching app, with optional in-session reviews. You get weekly updates, progress tracking and programme adjustments based on how you’re performing in the gym. We can also catch up in sessions.

With consistent training, correct technique and sticking to your nutrition plan as closely as possible, you can expect improved strength, better movement, increased fitness over time. Nutrition adherence is the biggest driver of body composition results.

ONLINE COACHING

What do I need for online coaching?

You only need a phone or other electronic device. A small training space, and basic equipment. I tailor your programme to whatever you have. From full gym access to a single pair of dumbbells or resistance bands.

You send short video clips of your lifts or movements. I review them, give technique cues, regressions, progressions, and load guidance. This keeps your training safe and effective even without in person sessions.

All coaching is delivered with full FitPro public liability and professional indemnity insurance (£10 million cover). Clients accept normal training risks and are responsible for following guidance safely. Including load selection, technique and environment setup.

Weekly check-ins are completed directly through the coaching app. Covering progress, training feedback, load selection, recovery and any adjustments needed. A video call can be arranged when required for deeper discussion, movement review or goal setting.

Your training plan is delivered through a structured weekly programme with clear sets, reps, tempo, load guidance, and video demonstrations. The app also includes habit tracking, nutrition tracking and progress monitoring.

Online coaching delivers the same results as in person. With consistent training, correct technique and sticking to your nutrition plan as closely as possible, you can expect improved strength, better movement, increased fitness over time. Nutrition adherence is the biggest driver of body composition results.
